Research and Development (R&D) Cell

The institution has achieved several prestigious recognitions and milestones in Research and Development, reflecting its sustained commitment to research excellence, innovation, and national capacity building. The R&D ecosystem is further strengthened by its recognition as a DSIR–SIRO certified Research Institute, enabling participation in nationally funded research programs and industry-linked innovation initiatives. To institutionalize intellectual property creation and consultancy activities, VEC-CRIF (Vardhaman Engineering College – Centre for Research & Innovation Foundation) has been established as a Section 8 Company, providing a structured framework for IPR management, technology transfer, and revenue-generating consultancy services. Faculty research excellence has been nationally and internationally acknowledged through Top 2% Scientist Awards, underscoring high-impact scholarly contributions across science and engineering domains.

The institution is also recognized by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad as a Research Centre in multiple disciplines, enabling doctoral research and advanced investigations. Further, Atal Innovation Mission has approved Vardhaman College of Engineering, Shamshabad as the Mentor India Academy in Telangana, and also as the Nodal Organization to drive ATL Sarthi across the state, positioning the institution as a key catalyst in nurturing innovation, entrepreneurship, and Atal Tinkering Labs. Collectively, these achievements reinforce the institution’s role as a regional and national leader in research, innovation, mentorship, and technology-driven societal impact.
